This instrumental group is just shy of being considered a Lou Donaldson cover band because of all the Burt Bacharach, Ruby & The Romantics and Crusaders covers. The line up is saxophonist Peter Vircks (Moveable Feast, Rhythmic Circus, #MPLS), drummer Greg Schutte (Mickey Hart Band, Ryan Bingham, Chastity Brown Band), pianist & organist Brian Ziemniak (F-Deluxe, BZ3, Yohannes Tona Band), trombonist Matt Darling (Hookers and Blow, New Standards, Honeydogs) and bassist Patrick Nelson (Root City Band, Rhythmic Circus, Eric Hutchinson, New Primitives). Midnight Love features the classic tenor sax and trombone frontline, vintage keyboard sounds and a funky rare groove setting with a romantic bent.
